How not to get the size wrong

Buying dog clothes online and choosing the right size, especially for those who are approaching this type of purchase for the first time, is not always easy. The experience we have gained as online sellers allows us to give you some advice that will certainly help you avoid returns and exchanges as much as possible, which only lead to annoying costs of additional shipments that only enrich the couriers.

We are the only online shop that personally measures every single item in every single size, taking the three measurements necessary for the choice: back length, chest circumference and neck circumference. We do this to give precise data to our customers.

Despite this, unfortunately we notice that often, perhaps because of haste or because the information on the product sheets is not read thoroughly before putting it in the cart, the user selects the size according to criteria based on similar purchases made previously without evaluating the characteristics of the new item that is being purchased.

Unfortunately, those who buy based on the size letter are making a mistake: each clothing manufacturer has its own standard size chart to which it assigns, according to personal criteria, the size letters. From one manufacturer to another, for the same assigned size letter (S, M, L and so on) there can be several centimeters of difference.

Here, those who buy by looking only at the "LETTER" and get the size wrong then generally say: "but how come.....my dog always wears S.....how come it doesn't fit?"

TIP: The only way to minimize the possibility of getting the wrong size is to:

1) take your dog's exact measurements in centimeters as per the instructions found here: Choosing the Size

2) Compare them with the measurements in centimeters of the item you are about to purchase (you can find them listed in the sheet of each item on our site).

3) Consider a margin of at least a couple of cm more that the dress should have compared to your dog's chest circumference (this is to ensure a good fit and to be able to comfortably fasten the garment when it is worn).
For sweaters , however, the margin on the chest is not necessary because knitted items have a natural flexibility to adapt without problems by a few centimetres.

4) Do not buy only based on the size letter and without having carefully compared the actual measurements in centimeters (even if it is the same brand and the same size letter there may be differences only because, due to conformation, the model changes)

5) The measurements must be checked carefully for each item that is about to be placed in the cart.

We believe we have provided, in these few lines, a useful guideline to reduce the inconvenience of size errors, save on unnecessary additional shipping costs and enjoy the convenience and offers you find on www.dogmoda.it
